Solana's New Consensus 'Alpenglow' Begins Testnet Operations

On May 11, Anza, a research and development company dedicated to Solana, announced the commencement of operations for Solana's new consensus protocol 'Alpenglow' within a community test cluster. Anza has positioned this upgrade as 'the largest consensus change in Solana's history', and it has now entered the validation phase on the validator infrastructure prior to transitioning to the mainnet.
