U.S. CFTC Delays Enforcement of Data Reporting Requirements for Event Contracts Including Prediction Markets, Streamlines Exchange Procedures

The U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission's (CFTC) Division of Market Oversight and Division of Clearing and Risk announced on the 13th a no-action relief from enforcement of swap data reporting and recordkeeping obligations for fully collateralized event contracts to Designated Contract Markets (DCM), Derivatives Clearing Organizations (DCO), and their participants.
