The U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) officially announced on the 29th that it had issued an order approving the Bitcoin spot price referenced perpetual futures contract 'BTCPERP', applied for by KalshiEX, LLC, a subsidiary of the prediction market Kalshi, as a futures contract.

KalshiEX submitted their application to the CFTC on the 28th, and following a review, the CFTC approved the contract, confirming it complies with the Commodity Exchange Act and related regulations...
