Pursuing the Rollback of CFTC Regulations

Last Friday, U.S. Senator Elizabeth Warren sent an open letter to Michael Selig, the chairman of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), seeking explanations for the rollback in cryptocurrency and prediction market regulations, and suspected interventions by the Trump administration. In her letter, Senator Warren highlighted the drastic reduction in enforcement activities as the most serious issue. For the fiscal year 2024, the CFTC undertook 58 enforcement actions, imposing over $17 billion in penalties...
