From Payment Services Act to Financial Instruments and Exchange Act, Transforming the Regulatory Framework

The bill to transfer cryptocurrency (digital assets) regulation from the Payment Services Act to the Financial Instruments and Exchange Act (known as the Financial Instruments and Exchange Act) was approved by a majority in the Lower House on June 11. The bill, which is expected to be enacted after deliberation in the Upper House, is slated for implementation in fiscal year 2027.
