Kalshi Sees Record Trading Volume During World Cup Opening Week

Increase in Kalshi's Trading Volume

Kalshi, a prediction market platform, recorded a nominal weekly trading volume of approximately $51.4 billion (about ¥8,242 billion) for the week starting June 8, setting a new record high. The week coincided with the start of the Soccer World Cup on June 11, and also saw the NBA Finals taking place until June 13. It appears that the demand for sports-related betting has been driving up the trading volume recently.
