First Domestic Issuance of a Trust-Based Stablecoin

On June 23, the Nikkei reported that the SBI Group is poised to issue a yen-linked stablecoin, 'JPYSC', within June. The issuance has received approval from the Financial Services Agency. The issuer, SBI Shinsei Trust Bank, will have its cryptocurrency exchange subsidiary, SBIVC Trade, handle the transactions.
