Automated Monitoring of Major Foreign Exchange Transactions

It has been revealed that Russia's Financial Monitoring Agency (Rosfinmonitoring) is set to gain authority to monitor cryptocurrency transactions related to foreign trade. According to reports by Kommersant, which cited the news agency Interfax, a mechanism will be introduced based on amendments to the Digital Currency/Digital Rights Law, where transaction information exceeding 1 million rubles (approximately 2.12 million yen, with 1 ruble being approximately 2.12 yen) will be automatically sent to the agency.
