U.S. Treasury Imposes Sanctions on Wallets Linked to the Central Bank of Iran

Approximately 18.7 Million USD in Assets Frozen

On the 14th, U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bescent announced that the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) has imposed sanctions on several wallets linked to the Central Bank of Iran.

As a result, more than 130 million dollars (approximately 18.7 million USD) in assets were frozen. The Treasury is committed to thwarting and weakening Iran's illegal financial activities, including the misuse of digital assets, Bescent explained.
