The Digital Assets Subcommittee of the U.S. House Agriculture Committee convened a hearing on the 21st to debate the state of customer protection and market integrity in sports-related prediction markets.
Subcommittee Chairman Dusty Johnson stated, 'The central question is whether contracts linked to sports events constitute sports betting and whether the CFTC (Commodity Futures Trading Commission) has the necessary authority and resources for supervision.'
