TVL Reduction and Headwinds for Ethereum

The total value locked (TVL) in Ethereum's Layer 2 (L2) networks has shrunk to approximately $5 billion, dropping to levels not seen since 2023, according to a data newsletter excerpt reported by The Block on the 28th. This represents a significant loss of the gains made in 2024 when major L2 solutions like Optimism, Arbitrum, and ZKsync were launched.
