Increased BTC Withdrawals in Wake of Cold Card Incident

CryptoQuant analyst Julio Moreno noted on August 2 that following the leak of Cold Card hardware wallets, there was a significant surge in the number of active Bitcoin addresses.

According to Moreno, the count rose from 645,000 on July 30 to approximately 1 million on July 31, reaching its highest level since December 10, 2024. He attributes this increase primarily to a rise in addresses used for transfer purposes.
