MUFG to Demonstrate On-Chain Government Bond Repos Using Canton Network

Collaboration on On-Chain Government Bond Repos

Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group (MUFG) and three other companies announced on the 13th that they have started a proof-of-concept experiment for processing Japanese government bond (JGB) repo transactions on the blockchain, in collaboration with U.S.-based Digital Asset and Progmat. This blockchain, designed specifically for institutional financial services, is known as the Canton Network.
