Goldman Sachs, Citibank, Mitsubishi UFJ Bank, and 18 other global financial institutions announced on the 1st that they will establish a new company in the latter half of 2026 to support the issuance of stablecoins. The new company will initially operate around the provision of a US dollar-denominated stablecoin, with the company name to be announced later.
