Cryptocurrency ETN Trading Now Available

On September 3, Hargreaves Lansdown (HL), the UK's largest investment platform, opened up trading of Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH) Exchange Traded Notes (ETNs) to its nearly 2 million customers, as reported by the Financial Times (FT) and others.

ETNs are financial instruments that allow investors to gain exposure to cryptocurrency prices without directly owning the assets, and are listed on stock exchanges.

The newly available offerings include products under the BlackRock umbrella...
