IMF Review Agreement

The International Monetary Fund (IMF) announced on the 3rd that it has reached a staff-level agreement on the second and third joint reviews under the Extended Fund Facility (EFF) aimed at supporting medium-term structural reforms in El Salvador. Following the board's approval and the completion of agreed preliminary measures, the country is expected to receive approximately $140 million in funding.

The IMF confirmed that any further accumulation of the cryptocurrency Bitcoin (BTC) after June 2025 will not involve government funds but will be through private donations...
