Gold and Bitcoin Correlation

The correlation between the cryptocurrency Bitcoin (BTC) and gold has risen to its highest level in approximately six years, according to a report dated September 2 by the U.S. cryptocurrency asset management firm Bitwise.

Andrei Dragos, the company's Head of Research in Europe, noted that in phases of heightened macroeconomic concerns, investors are beginning to blur the distinctions between Bitcoin and gold, with Bitcoin showing price movements that amplify those of gold.
