Singapore's major bank DBS announced on the 7th that it had successfully completed a US dollar international settlement with financial giant Citi on Saturday, the 5th of this month.
The transaction was conducted between DBS in Singapore and Citi's New York branch using SWIFT's digital ledger and tokenized deposits. It demonstrated the capability to settle across different jurisdictions and time zones without the constraints of traditional banking hours, the bank stated.
