On the 4th, approximately 1,783 wstETH (equivalent to about $6 million) was illicitly withdrawn from a vault on the Layer 2 network Base, operated by an unknown entity. Blockchain security firm PeckShield reported the incident on X the same evening. As of the 5th, the operator has not come forward.
