
On October 6, a total of nine companies, including Mitsui Sumitomo Bank, Daiwa Securities, SBI Securities, and SBI VC Trade, announced the completion of Phases 1 and 2 of 'Project Trinity,' a demonstration project for DvP settlement using stablecoins (electronic payment methods) in the secondary market trading of security tokens (ST).
Other participating companies include SBI R3 Japan, Osaka Digital Exchange, BOOSTRY, Progmat, and Datachain. The feasibility of T+2/DvP settlement between securities companies was confirmed to some extent in terms of legal, technical, and operational aspects.
