Nanameue, which operates the virtual world "Yay!", announced on the 25th that it will begin authentication collaboration with World ID, a personal authentication function of Worldcoin (WLD).
With this collaboration, Yay! now allows users to select World ID as the account linking method (save method) when creating a new account.
According to the announcement, this initiative will protect users' accounts and prevent fraudulent accounts by bots.
Furthermore, they said that this collaboration will be the foundation for users around the world to use Yay! with peace of mind as it will build a token economic sphere inside and outside the service as a Web 3.0 function in the future.
Worldcoin is known as a project co-founded by Samuel Altman, CEO of OpenAI.
World ID is an ID generated by reading the iris of the eye with a device called "Orb". This allows users to perform more accurate identity verification without having to disclose personal information.
Release of "World Chain"
The World Coin Foundation, which developed World Coin, announced in April this year that it will release the Layer 2 blockchain "World Chain" this summer in anticipation of the expansion of the project.
Meanwhile, Yay!, provided by Nanameue, launched its service in January 2020 and has more than 8 million users.
Last November, it announced a white paper for its own crypto asset "YAY," which is scheduled for an IEO on domestic crypto asset (virtual currency) exchange bitFlyer. It aims to "realize SocialFi from Japan" and to create a community and tokenomics using tokens and NFTs.
