[NEWS] Yay! and sloth launch joint project "#FirstNFT"

Nanameue, which operates the virtual world "Yay!", and Al, which is involved in the NFT project "sloth," announced on the 11th that they have launched a long-term collaboration project "#FirstNFT" with the aim of popularizing and promoting understanding of Web 3.0 and NFTs.

As background, the two explained that following last year's first year of Web 3.0, the theme for 2023 will be mass adoption (social implementation) of Web 3.0.

Currently, while there are an increasing number of services by companies that utilize crypto assets (virtual currencies), NFTs, and blockchain, they point out that many people are unable to take the first step because they "don't understand it well." In order to improve this situation, the two parties have decided to collaborate to promote understanding and create opportunities for many people to experience it.

According to the announcement, "#FirstNFT" will eliminate the anxiety and questions that many people have before purchasing NFTs, and provide an experience that allows them to enjoy growing NFTs and feel the joy of owning NFTs.

As part of this, the first collaboration commemorative "Yay! Ohasu Slow" campaign will be held. The campaign period is from 18:00 on Tuesday, April 11th to 23:59 on Tuesday, April 18th, and 10 winners will be given a slot NFT and a set of Yay! collaboration costumes by lottery.

In addition, in the future, they plan to hold online events that anyone can participate in, such as Twitter space distribution, as well as offline events for NFT holders, run a slot community on Yay!, and produce "Yay! x slot" goods.

Through this project, the two parties will further promote the understanding of Web 3.0 in society, while at the same time becoming a new gateway for Web 3.0 and accelerating mass adoption in Japan.

Yay! is a virtual world with the concept of "a place for everyone," and currently has over 6.5 million users. Last year, they announced a contract with domestic cryptocurrency exchange bitFlyer to conduct an IEO.

On the other hand, Sloth is a project where you can dress up a sloth character with three types of NFTs: the main body NFT, costume NFT, and item NFT on a dedicated website. In the future, they plan to implement a mini-game function in which you can send a dressed up Sloth to work and improve its stats.
