440 Cryptocurrency Market Manipulators Detected in 8 Months

In a paper published on arXiv by Cornell University, researchers analyzed pump-and-dump scams in the cryptocurrency space. They said that about 440 masterminds were involved in large amounts of fraudulent transactions.

Pump-and-dump is a type of market manipulation where an individual or group artificially inflates the price of a cryptocurrency and then sells it for profit, ultimately resulting in huge losses for investors.
