Metaplanet's Q1 Earnings Report: 13.5 Billion Yen in Unrealized Gains from Bitcoin Investments

On May 14, Metaplanet Inc. reported its financial results for the first quarter of the fiscal year ending December 2025. From the beginning of the year to May 12, the company acquired an additional 5,034 Bitcoins, bringing its total holdings to 6,796 BTC.

This volume ranks 11th among publicly listed companies worldwide. At the end of the first quarter, there was a reported unrealized loss of 7.4 billion yen. However, following a market recovery, this position had shifted to an unrealized gain of 13.5 billion yen by May 12.

The total acquisition cost was 90.19 billion yen, with the average acquisition cost per Bitcoin at 13,270,989 yen.
