Bitcoin Spot ETF Sees Record Weekly Volume Since Start of the Year

Last week, from the 19th to the 23rd, the trading volume for the U.S. cryptocurrency Bitcoin (BTC) spot ETF was $25 billion (approximately 3.6 trillion yen).

During this period, the price of Bitcoin surpassed $110,000, setting a new all-time high, and the weekly trading volume reached its highest level since the beginning of the year. To be precise, the week up to December 20, 2024, had a volume exceeding $26 billion, making it the largest since that date.

Last week also saw a net inflow of funds amounting to $2.75 billion (approximately 392 billion yen), which is the third largest since the ETF was launched in January 2024.
