Introduction: The Future Shaped by the Fusion of Web3.0 and the Entertainment Industry
Moderator:Today, we’re here to talk about the collaboration between the crypto industry and the entertainment world. Joining us are Mr. SEIHO, PR Manager of GET Entertainment Inc., and two token ambassadors from the girl group Rain Tree — Fuka Nino and Shu Kato.
Rain Tree is a newly debuted girl group produced by the legendary Yasushi Akimoto. They released their first digital single through King Records on January 29, 2025, and are gaining attention as a group to watch.
Recently, GET announced an alliance with OVERSE Inc., aiming to leverage the power of Web3.0 to create a new kind of entertainment experience. The announcement made waves both inside and outside the industry.
Following the news, GET’s social media presence skyrocketed — gaining over 20,000 members on Telegram and more than 30,000 new overseas followers on X (formerly Twitter).
Today, we’ll dive deep into what this alliance means for the future. Welcome, everyone!
All:Thank you for having us!
What is GET? Inside the Web3.0 Project Tailored for the Entertainment Industry
First, Mr. SEIHO, PR Manager of GET — can you tell us what kind of project GET is?
SEIHO:GET stands for “Global Entertainment Token,” and refers to both a Web3.0 platform tailored to the entertainment industry and the token used within it. The goal of the project is to create a space where artists, creators, and fans can connect more directly and freely through a decentralized community.
The GET platform offers a variety of features. For example, fans who hold GET tokens could crowdfund an event to rent out the Nippon Budokan and organize a live concert for Rain Tree. In such a case, live tickets could also be issued as NFTs on the GET platform.
By turning tickets into NFTs, a more active secondary market emerges compared to paper tickets. Whenever these NFTs are traded, a portion of the resale value can be returned to Rain Tree through a revenue-sharing mechanism.
Moreover, by participating in the GET ecosystem, entertainment projects can easily expand their reach globally. Traditionally, artists and creators needed to host local events or sell merchandise on-site in order to connect with overseas fans. But with GET, fans from anywhere in the world can show support or enjoy digital content through the use of tokens.
I see. So it's a model that enables fan-driven idol activities and direct global connections that were previously difficult in the entertainment industry.
SEIHO:Exactly. For a group like Rain Tree, which just made its digital debut, the ability to directly reach fans not only in Japan but worldwide is a major advantage.
Rain Tree Shares Their Thoughts on Web3.0 and Its Possibilities
How do the members of Rain Tree feel about this alliance with GET?
Fuka Nino (Nino):We’re honestly really excited. We just debuted on January 29, and most people still don’t know about Rain Tree. I hope this new technology will help more people discover us.
Shu Kato (Kato):I believe that connection is incredibly important for idols. We recently held a fan club event, and I think it would be amazing to try hosting special events in the future that are only open to those who hold our NFTs.
That sounds like something fans would love—a unique way to capture their oshi’s growth. I understand GET is also collaborating with other entertainment-related projects. Do you see Rain Tree collaborating with those as well?
SEIHO: Absolutely. We’re currently working on collaborative plans with companies involved in film, gaming, fashion events, sports, and more.
In the near future, you might see Rain Tree members starring in movies, voicing game characters, appearing on runways, or even becoming team mascots. There are many ways for them to expand their presence across various fields.
Nino: That sounds amazing! Among our 17 members, some love anime, some are into movies, and some are great at games. We’re all unique and full of potential, so we’d love the chance to explore more opportunities and expand what we can do.
Web3.0 and Fan Connections: The Future of NFT Events and Voting Features
Nino, what kind of content or genre do you personally enjoy the most?
Nino: Definitely idols! I was inspired by Tomomi Itano, a former member of AKB48, and I’ve always admired idols. I also love Nogizaka46—they were one of the biggest reasons I decided to pursue becoming an idol myself.
How about you, Kato?
Kato: I really love dancing. I often watch professional dance leagues like D.LEAGUE, so I think it would be really exciting if the GET platform included a voting feature. It would open up new and fun ways for fans to get involved.
Nino: Web3.0 and NFTs still seem a bit complicated... Do you think there will be an easy way for fans to participate?
SEIHO: We’re actually developing a dedicated GET Wallet right now, and it's set to launch soon. This wallet is being designed with ease of use as the top priority. It will allow users to easily create, hold, and manage their wallets. We’re building a system where fans can own and enjoy NFTs with just a tap.
We’re also working on making the GET platform seamlessly accessible from the wallet. That means fans will be able to view their tokens and NFTs, buy Rain Tree merchandise, vote, or send digital tips—all directly from the wallet interface. We're focused on making the user experience as smooth and intuitive as possible.
A Surge in Overseas Fans: Why GET and Akimoto-Produced Idol Groups Are Gaining Global Attention
Kato: We in Rain Tree and our sister group WHITE SCORPION, both managed by OVERSE, haven’t really done much overseas promotion yet. But I heard that after the alliance announcement, a huge number of overseas fans started following GET’s social media. Why is that?
SEIHO: We anticipated that there might be many potential fans of Japanese idols overseas—but honestly, the surge in followers was more than we expected. It really highlights the global interest in Japan’s idol industry.
As a Web3.0 project focused specifically on the entertainment sector, GET is already gaining traction among overseas investors and token holders. Many people are looking at which industry will next adopt blockchain in a meaningful way, and entertainment seems to be a strong candidate.
OVERSE’s groups are also making headlines in Web3.0 communities abroad, especially since Rain Tree is produced by Yasushi Akimoto—Japan’s most renowned producer. That kind of credibility generates a lot of buzz and likely explains why we saw such a big influx of overseas followers on GET’s platforms.
Nino: We’re really grateful. During one of our live streams on SHOWROOM, we even received comments in English. It's often hard to meet fans who live far away, so it was really special.
In fact, we recently had an online meet-and-greet, and a fan from Macau joined. Even though we didn’t fully understand each other’s language, it was a wonderful and heartwarming experience.
Kato: I post dance videos on TikTok too, and I get a lot of comments from overseas fans. It really makes me feel like people around the world are watching and supporting us.
Conclusion: Let’s Create a New Era of “Oshi-Katsu” Together in the Web3.0 Age
Lastly, do you have a message for our readers?
Nino: Rain Tree is just getting started, but we’re working hard to grow and evolve. I’d be so happy if we could create excitement together through Web3.0. Please support us on this journey!
Kato: When I first heard about Web3.0, it felt a bit complicated. But as I learned more, I realized it opens up new possibilities for supporting your favorite artists. We’d love to keep incorporating new technologies into our activities—so I hope everyone will give it a try and enjoy the experience with us!
SEIHO: GET is a project that’s shaping the future of entertainment through blockchain. Together with idols like Rain Tree, we’re building a new kind of fan community—so stay tuned and keep your eyes on us!
