The Avalanche 9000, which was released on the testnet this time, is the largest upgrade for Avalanche. In addition to reducing the cost of deploying Avalanche by 99.9%, it also includes proposals for improving Avalanche, mainly ACP-77 and ACP-125.
The notable ACP-77 will eliminate the need for staking 2,000 AVAX (approximately 13.05 million yen) that was required to build an Avalanche subnet. This will significantly lower the barrier to entry for validators, increasing the possibility of launching more subnets. In addition, the subnets will be renamed "Avalanche L1 blockchains (L1s)" through this upgrade.
In addition, ACP-125 will significantly reduce Avalanche's gas fee (network fee) from 25nAVAX to 1nAVAX. In the future, it is expected that transactions will be possible by paying only 4% of the current gas fee.
According to the announcement, more than 500 projects are already being developed on L1s. L1s explains that its reach extends to community-run games, payment solutions for small businesses, and institutional research, and that it continues to expand into new fields.
The movement to adopt Avalanche is accelerating, and it was recently revealed that Suntory will release a beer with NFTs issued on Avalanche.
