DMM Crypto, a subsidiary of the DMM Group that develops Web 3.0 business, announced on the 15th that it has discontinued the Web 3.0 project "Seamoon Protocol". In response to this, it will also discontinue the issuance of its own token "$SMP".
Seamoon Protocol is a project that was launched in June last year with the aim of providing a new entertainment experience in the digital space using its own token. It has been providing entertainment services and platform functions centered on blockchain games, such as issuing its own token and expanding strategic partnerships with an eye toward global expansion.
However, DMM Crypto explained that it decided to discontinue Seamoon Protocol early, stating that "the recent rapid changes in the business environment have created issues with the sustainability of the project."
In addition, the following measures will be taken in conjunction with the discontinuation of the project.
- Discontinuation of issuance of the original token "$SMP"
- Suspension of acceptance of new users of the SMP Platform service
- Gradual termination of the "Kanpani☆Girls RE:BLOOM" service
New users of the SMP Platform service were closed on the 15th. Additionally, the official service for "Kanpani☆Girls RE:BLOOM" was just launched on the 1st of last month.
The company says it is continuing to consider future directions regarding services, functions, partnerships, etc. for projects related to the SMP Platform.
