Loyalty Marketing, which operates the shared points service "Ponta," announced on the 16th that it has built its own blockchain, "MUGEN Chain." It is looking to link with Ponta's membership base of over 100 million people.
Loyalty Marketing will also begin offering the Web3.0 platform "MUGEN Portal" using MUGEN Chain. As the first step, it will provide a "Everyone's Support History" function, which will visualize the contribution activities of each user in the sustainable area of services of Loyalty Marketing and MUGEN Portal participating companies.
Loyalty Marketing aims to link seamlessly with existing services, and announced in August last year that it would promote its Web3.0 business. It also aims to create new value for Ponta members by providing easily accessible Web3.0 services.
Loyalty Marketing says that by releasing MUGEN Chain and MUGEN Portal, over 100 million Ponta members will be able to experience Web3.0 services as an extension of their daily lives, providing new value brought by blockchain. He continued, "By making the Web3.0 world more accessible, we will promote mass adoption of Web3.0."
Loyalty Marketing describes MUGEN Portal as a "Web 3.0 platform that provides new value to consumers, companies, and society." Ponta members can easily connect by logging in with their membership ID and use the various services provided on MUGEN Portal.
Loyalty Marketing says it will build a network that emphasizes interoperability across companies and services to provide a Web 3.0 experience that meets diverse consumer needs.
The company will also issue NFTs targeting the online and offline actions of users who use MUGEN Portal. This will connect scattered consumer actions to capture consumer needs more than ever before, and will work to strengthen marketing support for companies using Web 3.0 technology.
The first service, "Everyone's Support Record," will link with Loyalty Marketing's SDGs app "Green Ponta Action."
According to the announcement, while donation amounts and the activities of the recipient organizations have been reported to users, there was an issue that it was difficult for users to see the degree of contribution of their own actions to donations. Therefore, MUGEN Portal will display the donation amount recorded by each user in MUGEN Chain, visualizing the contribution of both the entire user base and each individual user. Users will be given rewards such as NFTs and Ponta points depending on the amount of their contribution.
In addition, Geofra's smartphone app "Plarly" will also participate in Everyone's Support Track Record. Each time a Plarly user exchanges the travel points they have accumulated through travel and viewing advertisements for Ponta points, a portion of the revenue earned by Plarly will be donated and displayed as the contribution amount.
Loyalty Marketing says it will continue to call for participation from companies that support Everyone's Support Track Record.
