[NEWS] President-elect Trump emphasizes that "we will achieve great things with cryptocurrencies"

In an interview on the 12th, President-elect Trump said, "We will do great things with cryptocurrencies." This once again emphasizes his positive attitude toward cryptocurrencies.

In addition, in relation to the current trend of other countries adopting cryptocurrencies, Trump said, "It is extremely important for the United States to be a leader in this field," and "We have to go further than other countries."

When asked about the need for a Bitcoin (BTC) reserve, which has been attracting attention, he replied, "I think so."

Regarding the Bitcoin reserve, Republican Texas Representative Giovanni Capriglione submitted a bill to establish one on the same day. This bill aims to establish a Bitcoin reserve in each state, and was submitted ahead of the transition of power. In the United States, with Trump showing a positive attitude toward cryptocurrencies, various states and other places are considering Bitcoin reserves.

Also, at the national level, Republican Senator Cynthia Lummis has already submitted a draft of the "Bitcoin Act of 2024." This bill calls for the United States to stockpile 1 million BTC as a strategic reserve. As the scale is larger than what Trump proposed, some adjustments are expected, but the possibility of it being realized will increase dramatically with the transition of power.

Trump has been making a series of positive comments about Bitcoin. Recently, it was reported that the transition team said, "Trump wants Bitcoin to reach $150,000 (approximately 22.9 million yen) as soon as possible."

In conjunction with his inauguration as president, Trump has emphasized his focus on economic growth, saying, "I will create an economy that no one has ever seen before." Similarly, it seems that he wants to significantly increase the price of cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin during his term as president, and make it one of his achievements.
