OKJ and Sei (SEI) Host a Well-Attended KOL Dinner Event

Co-hosted by OKJ and SEI

Last month, domestic cryptocurrency exchange OKJ hosted an exclusive dinner in Tokyo aimed at fostering interactions with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) in the Web3.0 space.

The event was organized by OKJ and Layer 1 blockchain SEI, and was held as an invitation-only gathering. Amidst a lavish meal, networking was vigorously pursued.

Focused on building relationships with Japanese communities and partners

Prior to the event's commencement, Mr. Choco from SEI delivered a speech.

SEI is a Layer 1 blockchain that combines Ethereum's compatibility with Solana's high-speed performance, maximizing efficiency through parallel processing, rapid consensus, and optimized storage. Since its mainnet launch in 2023, it has processed tens of billions of transactions across over 18 million wallets. The ongoing 'V3 Giga' update aims to achieve up to 50 times the performance of EVM chains.

Mr. Choco stated, 'SEI is the fastest EVM environment and Layer 1, becoming the number one blockchain in the gaming sector in terms of user count since June last year. Additionally, by accommodating Real World Assets (RWA), we have processed several tens of billions of dollars in transactions over the past year,' highlighting the project's growth and increasing demand.

This year, the focus is on creating consumer-friendly applications on a daily basis, with an emphasis on 'quality, trust, and continuity' in the Japanese market. He concluded by expressing a desire to take time to build relationships with the Japanese community and partners.

Following Mr. Choco, Mr. Saito, the Chief Manager of OKJ, also gave his remarks.

At OKJ, 'We value offline events as opportunities to foster connections among users and businesses,' he emphasized. Associating SEI with the concepts of 'momentum (勢)' and 'success (成)', he expressed a commitment to continue driving the industry forward and achieving success alongside its leading participants.

Following speeches by SEI and OKJ, the venue was filled with a lively atmosphere as attendees enjoyed food and active networking. Participants were also given a special gift: an original bottle of Dassai sake featuring the engraved logos of OKJ and SEI.

Mr. Saito of OKJ commented, “Going forward, we plan to continue hosting joint events centered on crypto asset projects listed on OKJ, as well as the ‘OKJ Academy,’ an initiative designed to help beginners learn about crypto assets in an engaging and accessible way. Through these events, we hope to further foster community growth and deepen understanding of the background and vision behind each project.”

In a field where highly specialized knowledge is required, information sharing by key opinion leaders (KOLs) is indispensable. As the industry continues to evolve and seeks to attract new audiences, there are high expectations for the continued contributions and activities of KOLs going forward.
